PolyView — Privacy Policy

Effective July 2, 2026

PolyView is a read-only viewer for public Polymarket prediction-market data. It has no accounts and no sign-up, and it cannot trade, place orders, or move funds — ever. This policy describes exactly what data leaves your device and where it goes.

1. Market data requests → Polymarket APIs

When you browse markets, or view or watch a wallet's public portfolio, the app sends your queries — including any wallet addresses you enter, search for, or follow — to Polymarket's public APIs (gamma-api.polymarket.com, data-api.polymarket.com, clob.polymarket.com) to fetch the public market and on-chain data being displayed. Wallet addresses are public blockchain identifiers, not personal accounts. These services are operated by Polymarket and are covered by Polymarket's own privacy policy.

2. Optional price & trade alerts → our alerts server

If you set a price alert or follow a trader's activity, the app sends the following to a server operated by the developer: your device's push notification token (issued by Expo/Google), the markets and price thresholds you chose, and the wallet addresses you follow. This data is used solely to deliver the notifications you asked for, is never sold or shared, and is deleted when you remove the alert or follow in the app. If you never set an alert, nothing is sent to this server. Notifications are delivered via Expo's push service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which process the push token in transit. You can disable notifications at any time in Android system settings.

3. Crash reports

If the app crashes, an anonymized diagnostic report (stack trace, device model, app version) is sent to Sentry (EU-hosted). Personal identifiers are not collected: no IP-based identification, no user IDs, no wallet addresses in crash reports.

4. Data stored on your device

Your favorites, tags, and preferences are stored only on your device and are removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it.

5. What we don't do

No ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling or sharing of data, no profiling, no accounts. The app requests only the permissions it needs (network access and notifications).

6. Data deletion

Deleting an alert or unfollowing a trader in the app deletes the corresponding data from the alerts server. For any other request, contact the developer at the address below and it will be handled promptly.

7. Not financial advice

PolyView displays public market data for informational purposes only. Nothing in the app is investment, trading, or financial advice.

8. Changes & contact
